Janie Oberhauser grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in English and Quantitative Biology in 2021. She will be working in a neuropathology lab at Stanford University, and will be applying for graduate school. Driven by an overactive imagination and a thirst for adventure, Janie discovered a love for reading, writing, and storytelling at a young age. In fact, the basic concept for 'The Mystery of the Missing Socks' originated with a first grade writing assignment. Although this is her first book, Janie hopes to someday publish longer works of young adult literature. When she isn’t typing away on her laptop, you can find Janie swimming, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
