Nancy Jo Hinsen is a vocal recording artist, composer, and ASCAP publisher and a new member of the Santa Clara County Branch of the NLAPW.  Her musical journey began performing with The Herbie Helbig Trio on Talent in Toronto and later headlined as the featured vocalist at the Ascot Hotel. After classical voice training, she continued to refine her craft under renowned vocal coach Edna Fischer Hayes.

Among her career highlights is a guest performance at San Francisco’s War Memorial Opera House.  She later recorded vocals for “Oh, Little Hummingbird,” written by acclaimed Bay Area composer and pianist Robert Van Horne.  Her recordings continue to stream worldwide.

She has produced several original works, including her 2011 album All That You Allow and her 2013 Christmas release featuring her original song “Do You Know Why There’s Joy at Christmas?” Her new single, “Thankful” debuts in 2026.

Inspired by a revelation from the living God, she is committed to sharing the Light of the world through music. Her songs are written to help listeners encounter Him—especially in life’s hardest moments—offering guidance, comfort, and a refreshing sense of hope.

Today, Nancy Jo continues to serve on the Bethel Church of San Jose worship team, grateful for every opportunity to inspire listeners through song.
